A new Developer joins the Scrum Team taking the total number to 11 people. As a Scrum Master, what should you do?

A. Do nothing, the Developers must fix this issue themselves
B. Instruct the Developers to split into 2 teams
C. Instruct the Developers to split into 2 teams, they should decide which Developer goes into what team
D. Raise the increased team size as a potential issue and help the Developers decide what to do about it

Correct Answer: D

Small Scrum Teams typically work best. The exact limit is not set by Scrum but a maximum of 10 is the recommendation. Also, Scrum is founded on the principle of self organisation, in this case the Scrum Master should raise the issue and help the Developers solve the problem themselves
